Stallings, Miracle Man Of Baseball, Dies Monday At His Farm Home In Georgia

HADDOCK< Ga., May 13 - (AP) George T. Stallings, who won fame in 1911 by capturing the world's baseball championship for the Boston Braves, died early today at his home near here.

In 1909 Stallings became manager of the New York Yankees after a season in which the club, under Clark Griffith and Norman (Kid} Elberfeld, finished last. That year the Yankess finished at the head of the second division. By 1910 he had so rehabilitated the former broken down baseball machine that the Yankees were on the heels of Connie Mack's great Athletics and ended the season as a runner-up to the Mackmen.
