Eddie Plank Started Pro Baseball Career As Relief Hurler Against Baltimore

Eddie's debut in fast company had been effected five days previously in Baltimore. Mack started a pitcher named Baker against McGraw's Orioles and took hjim out after tthe sixth, Plank finishin. Three runs scored on him. He walked a man and fanned one. The number of hits off him ramin a mystery.

Quaker City fans didn't see Plank until Saturday, June 8, [1901] . Then he conquered Joe Yeager of Detroit, 6-1, The Tigers' earned a run and four hits off him, two by Tabasco Kid Norman Elberfeld
